Mrs. Linda Garner teaches the two year HL English course. Mrs. Garner has a BS degree in Language Arts from Oklahoma State University and an MA in Administration and Supervision from the University of Alabama. She has attended IB training at The United World College in Montezuma, New Mexico; Rice University in Houston, TX; and Florida IB Schools in St. Petersburg, FL. Mrs. Garner was named 2005 Klein Oak's Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Garner has been recognized in the 2008-2009 Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs. | |

Mrs. Vickie Ihrig teaches the 9th and 10th grade PreIB English courses. She holds a BA from Baylor University and an MED from Sam Houston State University. She has taught the AP English and Language Course at KOHS the past five years. She received AP training at Rice, UTSA, and Texas State University. In 2007 and 2008, she was selected as an AP English Language Test Reader. |

Mrs. Susan Dworaczyk received a BBA from Western Michigan University and an MA in French Language and Literature from the University of Houston. She has attended IB training in Montezuma, New Mexico and Atlanta, Georgia. She was selected as the 2003 Hildebrant Teacher of the Year. In 2007, Mrs. Dworaczyk was selected Klein Oak's Teacher of the Year, and she went on to win KISD's Secondary Teacher of the Year 2007. | |

Mrs. Kimberly Perez has a Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. She attended IB training at Florida IB Schools in St. Petersburg, Fl. Mrs. Perez has accumulated over 100 hours in GT training and has studied in Mexico. |

Mr. Bill Dunnagan teaches first year of History of the Americas HL. He has a BA in History and English and an MA in US History from Texas Tech University. Mr. Dunnagan has attended IB training in Danvers, Ma., St.Petersburg, FL., and Rice University in Houston, Tx. He was the 1998 Klein ISD Teacher of the Year. | |

Mrs. Brenda Fabian teaches PIB biology and IB Biology SL and HL. She has a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M and a Master of Education with minors in biology and chemistry from Sam Houston State University. Prior to coming to KOHS, Mrs. Fabian taught for 19 years at Spring High School. She was chosen as a Distinguished Educator for Top 5% students in 2004 and 2006. Mrs. Fabian attended IB training at St.Petersburg, Florida. | |

Mrs. Kathleen Rushing teaches IB Chemistry and Chemistry Honors. She has a BS in Chemistry from Texas Woman's University and an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction (science specialty) from the University of Houston. Mrs. Rushing attended IB training in St. Petersburg, Florida. |

Mrs. Peggy Schweiger teaches Physics SL/HL. She has a BS in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, a MEd from Prairie View A&M University, and graduate physics courses from Texas A&M. Mrs. Schweiger attended IB training in Montezuma, NM. She was named the 1996 Klein ISD Teacher of the Year and won the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and Science in 2000 for the state of Texas. | |

Mr. Brad Rice teaches the Math SL and HL courses. He earned a BS in Education with a specialization in Mathematics from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining the KO faculty this year, Mr. Rice taught at Westfield High School in the Spring Independent School District, where he was named a Distinguished Educator in 2004. He sponsors Mu Alpha Theta and coaches UIL Math, Number Sense, and Calculator Applications. |

Mrs. Cindy Hammerbacher teaches Math Studies SL and is the CAS Coordinator. She has a BS in Mathematics Education from the University of Houston and has accumulated 150+ hours in GT training. Mrs. Hammerbacher has received IB training in Montezuma, NM. She has been involved with FTA, Mu Alpha Theta, and Math UIL while at KO. She was named 2006 Klein Oak Teacher of the Year. | |

Group 6: Fine Arts--Dance |
Klein Oak will offer IB Dance for the first time in 2008-09 under the direction of Mrs. Fayla Curry. Mrs. Curry earned a BA in Dance Education graduating Magna Cum Laude and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with specialization in Dance Education from Sam Houston State University. Chosen to participate in a pilot program for the development of a new IBO course, Mrs. Curry will travel to Wales for training and curriculum writing. She is a lecturer of DancePedagogy at Sam Houston State University and past president of Texas Dance Educators Association. She was on the State Committee of Revising Dance Education Certification Standards for Texas Education Agency. |

Mr. Randy Tumlinson teaches this senior level course. He earned a BA in English/History at Rice University and an MA from Middlebury College. He attended IB training in Danvers, MA. and Los Angeles, CA. He sponsors the KOHS Academic Decathalon team. |
