Grading Information: |
Theatre Arts classes are performance based, with some memorization requirements.
50% of a Theatre Arts student's grade is based on performances, tests, specified rehearsals and participation.
10% is based on the student coming to class with all necessary materials every day. (notebook/folder, pen/pencil, paper, and scripts when necessary)
40% is made up of quizzes, vocabulary and daily grades.

Beginning Theatre Arts: |
In this class, we encourage students to improve their self-concept and develop a cooperative spirit through creative drama activities such as improvisation, storytelling, and oral interpretation and pantomime. |

Intermediate Theatre Arts: |
At this level, students will learn to bolster their self image through ensemble playing, observing people and places more closely, expressive movement and sensory awareness. These new skills will aid students as they work through memorized group acting scenes, duets, and monologues. |
|
Advanced Theatre Arts: |
Students in this final level will fine tune their acting skills with improvisation, characterization, preparing a role, and stage movement; theatre history, as well as reading plays and performing. The year will conclude with a production to showcase the students' honed talents. |
