Skills for Living:
I would like to welcome your child to Skills For Living at Hildebrandt Intermediate. SFL is a semester course with a mixed enrollment of seventh and eighth grade students.

This semester we will be working on personality development, public speaking skills, confidence building, positive thinking, money management, check writing, group interaction, working with others, team building, child care, nutrition, food preparation, and cooking! This will be a busy semester, but fun and fulfilling for the students. In addition, SFL is a “hands-on” class. We will work on several projects, some of which may require that students work in groups on projects outside of school. Your involvement and cooperation are deeply appreciated!! Thank you in advance for your support of our SFL projects.

Each SFL student is responsible for a $15.00 activity fee to help cover the cost of all the supplies students will use in class, especially during major projects. Also, there will be times when students are asked to bring in supplies to contribute to their activities. If this ever poses a problem, I will be happy to work with the student to ensure their success; however, I must know ahead of time if there is a problem with getting supplies to class!

Thank you for your cooperation. I am looking forward to an exciting semester filled with great assignments and fun projects!
