Hassler Registration
For both kindergarten and first grade, students must present an original or certified copy of a birth certificate and documented immunization record.


Kindergarten - Age 5 on or before September 1 of current year
First Grade - Age 6 on or before September 1 of current year


Students entering all grades must present a withdrawal form or current report card from previous school, proof of identification, and a documented immunization record. Klein will send for cumulative folder information. Students transferring into Klein ISD should register at the school serving their attendance area.


All Students - Proof of residence in the Klein ISD. A lease agreement, light, water, or gas bill with your name and address is acceptable. Telephone bills cannot be accepted.

Immunizations Requirements:
Hib - Children under the age of 5 years are required to have 1 Hib at 15 months or older unless a series has been completed with a booster when the child was less than 15 months.


DPT or DTaP - Students under 7 years of age are required to have 4 DPT/DTaP with one being after the 4th birthday.


Diphtheria-Tetanus (Td) - for students 7 years and older - 3 doses required with at least one dose after the fourth birthday and within the last ten years.


Polio - At least three doses of either oral or injectable polio with one dose after the fourth birthday.


Measles, Mumps, Rubella - One dose on or after the first birthday. At age 12, students are required to show proof of a second measles vaccine. Two doses of measles is required for students 5 years and older who were born on or after September 2, 1991. If student has prior illness of measles, mumps or rubella, serologic confirmation is required in lieu of vaccination.


Hepatitis B - Children born on or after September 2, 1992, must have three doses of hepatitis B vaccine. Effective August 1, 2000: Children born between September 2, 1988 and September 1, 1992 (inclusive) will be required to show proof by their 12th birthday of having received three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine.

Varicella (Chickenpox) - Effective August 1, 2000: Children born on or after September 2, 1994, must show proof of 1 dose of varicella vaccine on or after their first birthday. Children born between September 1, 1988 and September 1, 1994 (inclusive) must show proof by their 12th birthday. This requirement can also be met by submitting serologic proof of immunity or documentation of previous chickenpox disease.
