Welcome to Mrs. Topping's 6th grade language arts classroom. Reading is an important part of students' work in this classroom. Homework generally involves reading their library books, and recording their time on a reading log, with a parent signature, which is due every Friday. Students are asked to complete a library book, approximately every 30 days, and then complete a book response.
There may also be spelling or vocabulary homework.
Students will also be doing journal responses and major writings, using the writing process. These will be done in class unless a student is absent.
