A note from our principal:
Our 1st annual Fine Arts Nights was a HUGE success. We had over 618 people attend – record breaking! The student artwork was amazing, the wax museum performers were incredible, the gifted and talented student projects were awesome and the musicians were fantastic. We would like to give the following staff members a SUPER Epps Island thank you: Ms. Clark, Mr. G., Ms. Tucker, Mr. Gist, Ms. Poe, Ms. Lynch, Ms. Cuevas, Ms. Hume, Ms. Faulkner. Also, a SUPER, AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, AWESOME, and special thank you to Ms. Hunt who displayed over 1,500 pieces of artwork for this show. Our students shined this night and it was just breath taking. La primera noche anual de Bellas Artes fue un gran éxito. Esta noche rompió un record de asistencia de sobre 618 personas. The Epps Island community had an amazing time on Field Day. We would like to thank our P.E. teachers, Ms. Hannath, Ms. Kleinert, Ms. Lind, and Ms. Tucker for organizing this great event. Also, we appreciate the PTO for providing cold drinks on the break station. As well as Ponderosa Fire Department which provided us with great service volunteering their time and filing up buckets with water so that our children could play while getting hydrated. In addition, volunteers from Best Buy helped us with game stations.

Parents and students had a fantastic night filled with the magic of reading. First and Second grade students and their parents worked together in many fun reading activities provided by Ms. Cuevas, Ms. Carmona, Ms. Gamero, Ms. Saucedo, and Ms Arredondo.
The Tiger Reading Camp is a six week program in which students go home with books, letters, and many other reading supplies and activities.

Congratulations to the MACHINE for another victory!

Sir Cass and Sir William conducted a knighting ceremony to honor our students on the character trait of discipline. Students, parents, and teachers were delighted to see our tigers who demonstrated this trait, walk on the “red carpet” and be knighted by Sir Cass. In addition, beautiful medallions were awarded to these formally knighted students. Also, teachers were knighted. Ms. Cangemi and Ms. Cao were recognized for the character trait of discipline.
La segunda ceremonia de EAFK se realizo para honorar a los estudiantes que han demostrado ser disciplinados. El evento dirigido por los caballeros Cass y William maravillo a nuestros padres, estudiantes, y maestros mientras los ganadores caminaban por la alfombra roja para recibir un galardón. Además, nuestros maestros, Ms. Cangemi y Ms. Cao fueron reconocidas.

Epps Island's students, parents, and staff are very proud to present Joseph Moreno, Dulce Juarez, and Ms. Aspiazu as the Students and Teacher of Excellence. They have proven to be effective and responsible individuals who accomplish set goals, and positively impact the lives of others. Ms. Bevan, Ms. Diaz, and Ms. Gonzalez joined them in the ceremony where they were recognized and awarded by Klein ISD.
Los estudiantes, padres, y maestros estan muy orgullosos de presentar a Joseph Moreno, Dulce Juarez, y a Ms. Aspiazu como los Excelentes Estudiantes y Maestra del año. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to the First Annual Kleinwell Family Fitness Fair at Klein Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 28, from 8 am to noon. There will be a one mile run/walk for all ages to compete in for awards. We will have something for everyone; health and wellness booths, medical testing booths, fun games, and moonwalks for the kids.
