THIRD GRADE
__________________________________
I have a great responsibility working at Eiland Elementary. Here we try hard every day to give bilingual children the opportunity to learn and speak in two languages in order to become fluent in both. My goal is to encourage them each day to be the best student they can be!
"I believe the children are one of our country's greatest resources. They truly are our future. With this in mind, I strive to have each student that comes through my classroom door, as well as into our school, experience that feeling of achievement and the feeling that someone believes in them. Henry Ford said, 'Whether you think you can, or that you can't, you are usually right.' I work hard to create that 'I can' mentality in my students. I believe it is the key to excellence in all aspects of their life."
“My philosophy of teaching is to make learning a fun and enjoyable experience. As educators, we have to give students the foundation that they need in order to be successful citizens of the community.”
"I believe that all children can learn. We as teachers need to be committed to find the best way, the best strategy, and the best approach to teach every child. All of them come to us with their minds avid for learning and it is our responsibility that their academic needs are fulfilled according to the level of their skills and abilities. Holding high expectations on their achievements is only natural for the teacher."

"We are ALL learners, each in our own way."
