Teaching to me is something far deeper than a so-called profession. I feel blessed for the opportunity to bring to each of my students what they are entitled to as they enter my classroom everyday. I feel it is of utmost important that my students are provided a caring and nurturing environment, mutual respect, self-sufficiency skills, and the unique approach to teaching that is tailored to each individual student. I believe that all my students can attain goals, among many of which are much higher than what we can ever dream of them doing. |

I think teaching is the most important profession. We are in charge of making our future leaders. Teachers need to be stern, fair, caring, and loving. We need to meet the needs of all of our students no matter what type of learner they are. Teachers impact a child's life and can make a difference too. Without teachers, no other professions would be possible. Teachers plant the seeds of future doctors, lawyers, veternarians, and even presidents. Teaching is not only the most important profession, but also the most rewarding. |

As teachers, we are trusted not only to educate children’s minds but also to nurture their spirits. We must seek out and recognize the potential in each and every child. We must strive in earnest to give our students the skills they need to reach their potential, both as students in our classes and as citizens of their community. In order to accomplish these goals, students need to have an environment that is safe, supportive, caring, and respectful.
I consider it a privilege and blessing to be a teacher and to have the opportunity to impact so many lives. What a responsibility. What a gift.

"To laugh often and much,
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children,
to earn the appreciation of honest critics,
to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others,
to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded!"
... Ralph Waldo Emerson |
