SECOND GRADE

"I have committed my life to educating, encouraging and motivating our future generation to being the best they can be. Helping children discover their abilities through love, discipline and positive self-esteem is the most rewarding profession there is. It is a joy to watch children grow and believe in themselves and know that I made a difference in their lives. Two quotes that direct my teaching are; "A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, touches a heart, and shapes the future". (source unknown)
"We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give"."
"I believe that teaching is the most rewarding profession. We as teachers have the future presidents, doctors, and teachers, in our classrooms. We have the power to make a difference in the world with just touching one child's life each day. I love children and love spending my time with them. They have the most interesting view on the world. I can honestly say that I love coming to work everyday! How many people can say that about their job?"
"Teaching is a wonderful profession! I find great joy through every child that enters my classroom. I feel greatly honored to be such an important part of their lives. In the one year that I share with them I hope to instill in them not only knowledge but the joy in learning. I hope in each school day they will laugh, learn and feel loved."
"My philosophy is that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and have the best education. The best education is not only where students learn skills in each of the basic subjects, but it also is where they need to be challenged in higher-level and critical thinking skills. It is also very important for me to let students understand that learning is an exciting and life-long activity as well as a journey to be enjoyed for life. Last but not least, I believe that school is a place where our children are able to learn in the best possible way in an environment that is loving, safe and secure."
"I love learning myself and want to encourage a love of learning in all children. Children have a natural sense of curiosity and wonder. Watching their eyes light up with a new discovery or mastery of a new skill is teaching’s greatest reward. My hope is that they will continue asking questions and learning throughout their lives."
