FIFTH GRADE
__________________________________
As a teacher, it is my goal to show students the greatness that they are capable of in an ever-changing world. I hope to teach students to take advantage of every opportunity that may arise, and that hard work and perseverance are two of the most important qualities that a person seeking success can have. I also want each of my bilingual students to be certain of their unique advantage as members of society able to read, write and speak two of this nation’s most prevalent languages.
Education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire. - W. B. Yeats
Hello, I am Chris Zeller. I began teaching in 1999. I chose to be a teacher and coach because I saw the need for young men and women to have a positive male influence in their life. I have a love for teaching because you get to be there for those special moments when a child's eye lights up letting you know they finally understand a new concept.
"I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to better themselves academically, socially, mentally, and physically. This process is sometimes challenging and difficult, and this is where I hope to help them on their journey into a life of productivity. In such a complicated world, it is important that all students be prepared to face what may come, and we will do everything possible in our classroom to make sure this happens. We will all strive to be life-long learners."

"Cada estudiante merece la oportunidad para mejorar en todo sentido: academico, social, mental, y fisico. Este proceso suele ser dificil y complicado, y espero poder ayudar a mis estudiantes a llegar a tener una vida productiva. En un mundo tan complicado, es importante que todos los estudiantes esten preparados para enfrentarse a cualquier cosa que suceda, y haremos todo lo posible en nuestro salon de clase para asegurarnos de que asi sea. Seremos estudiantes toda la vida."
The aim of education not to teach children what to think, but how to think.
