"Being a teacher is as much a part of who I am as wife and mother. My love for children has kept me in the classroom for over 25 years. Helping children discover the answers to their questions is my passion. For me, teaching is more than a profession; it is what I've been gifted to do."
Kindergarten Through Third Grade
In the primary grades, our children focus on math facts that will enable them to solve problems. Learning those facts to the point of automatically is our goal.

We see children exploring the following areas using printed materials and manipulatives. Students work in small groups, independently, and as a whole class to master the TEKS at their respective grade levels.

Numbers and place value
Solving problems using measurement
Fractions and decimals
Graphing
Solving problems with addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division
Expressing relationships and
making predictions
Estimation
Transformations
Patterns and generalizations
Displaying and interpreting data
Time and temperature
Probability
Geometric language
Measuring
Fourth Through Fifth Grade
Throughout the intermediate grades students will demonstrate mastery of TEKS needed to solve problems requiring higher order thinking skills. We will continue to review, re-teach, and expand the following concepts:

Numbers and place value
Transformations
Displaying and interpreting data
Solving problems using measurement
Solving problems with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division
Expressing relationships and making predictions
Estimation
Geometric language
Patterns and generalizations
