One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is a great education. Parents and schools working together prepare our children for success through the establishment of life long learners. They will find happiness as adults when they develop respect, commitment, integrity, initiative and responsibility which are modeled for them daily by teachers, staff and parents.

Eiland students are on the road toward success! With the collaborative effort of our teachers, parents, and community members, we know we can do it. We are continually tweaking our plan and strive for continuous improvement in all that we do. Eiland students not only learn academics, but they are also learning character traits and manners. This will allow them the foundation needed to grow into mature, responsible citizens.

Educating our children is perhaps the single most important thing that we can do to keep our democracy strong in this ever-changing world. We strive to build a community of learners that includes students, parents, teachers, and staff that will work cohesively to ensure that each child achieves their maximum potential. We hope to lay the foundations that will prepare our children to be the difference makers of tomorrow.

“That man is a success who has lived well laughed often and loved much.”
Robert Louis Stevenson
“What is success? To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. That is to have succeeded.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
These two famous men have penned a philosophy that I use as a guide for measuring whether I have been successful in my life. I hope that my time spent at Eiland will have left the world a bit better and that I have made a difference in the life of a child.
