Skills for Adolescence was developed through a partnership of Lions Clubs Internation and Quest International. The program helps students become more self-confident, communicate better both at home and at school, make decisions and solve conflicts based on facts rather than pressure from friends, and say "No" to alcohol and drugs.
Skills for Adolescence focuses on seven specific areas: 1) Understanding the many changes of adolescence, 2) Building self confidence and communication skills, 3) Understanding and managing feelings, 4) Improving friendships and resisting negative peer pressure 5) Strengthening family relationships, 6) Living healthy and drug free lives and 7) Setting goals for successful and healthy living.
Supplies for this class are: 1 inch, 3 ring, hard binder or notebook with pockets, a set of dividers, at least 20 sheets of notebook paper, a blue or black pen and a pencil.
