Students today are "Digital Natives"

 Marc Prensky discusses in his articles how students today are very different from students even just 10 years ago. His articles, "Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants" and "Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants, Part II "explains why this is. We will be using technology in our Spanish classroom. Some of the projects the students will be required to complete will be done collaborating with students from other campuses and possibly with students from Spanish-speaking countries! If you have the opportunity to read The World is Flat  by Tomas Friedman, it will give you an understanding as to why it is important for our children today to work collaboratively in a real-world setting. Consequently, we will- on occasion- use cell phones and iPods in class as well
(pending administrative approval).
