Recorders
The 4th and 5th grade students will be playing recorders in their music classes throughout the year. The 3rd grade students will be playing recorders in their music classes during the spring semester.

Students in all grades have been learning how to read music vocally with solfegio notation (do, re, mi…). Using the recorder, each child will now learn to read music with the letter names.

For details on aquiring a recorder for your child, download the 4th and 5th grade recorder information letter.
The soprano recorder pictured above is part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection.
