The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be playing recorders in their music classes throughout the year. Students in all grades have been learning how to read music vocally with solfegio notation (do, re, mi…). Using the recorder, we will also teach each child to read music with the letter names. Recorder purchasing information will be sent home near the beginning of the school year. If your child already has a recorder, please have your child bring that recorder to school labeled with his or her name. If your child’s recorder does not have a case, please send it in a Ziploc freezer bag. |
