Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
My favorite book of all times. Every time I read this book, I see something new.
The main character, Brian Robeson, finds himself lost in the Canadian wilderness after surviving a plane crash. Brian has to let go of his old self and become new in order to survive.

Among the Hidden by Margaret Petersen Haddix
Among the Hidden is a futuristic novel about a young boy name Luke who is considered to be illegal. Luke is a "third child" in a world that only allows a family to have only two children.
Will Luke stay in hiding forever? Will he find other third children?
This will be one of the best books of the school year. I can't wait until we read it together. For more info on this book go to www.promotega.org/ksu00003/hidsummary.htm
