U.S. History- Advanced Placement |
U.S. History- Advanced Placement, otherwise lovingly known as “APUSH” meets on a daily basis for a period of roughly 47 minutes. Students are exposed to the full scope of American history from discovery & colonization through the Clinton administration. Considered a college level course, students may obtain college credit by successfully completing the AP American History Exam in early May. You will need to contact the college/university you wish to receive credit from in order to find out what their scoring requirements are to obtain credit. General time required is at least one (1) hour of outside study per day, critical analysis of historical documents, and successful essay writing skills.
Scope & Sequence for the 1st Six Weeks will be Chapters 1 - 8: "Founding the New Nation". Expect weekly quizes, & a "Unit Exam" on October 1, 2008. |

World History |
World History-Meets on a daily basis for a period of roughly fourty-five (45) minutes. Students are exposed to the full scope of World History from prehistoric through modern, "historic" times. Expect homework assignments two (2) times per week, in addition to preparation time for tests. Three (3) exams per six week marking period can be expected, with at least one (1) outside project per semester. Retest are encouraged! |

Welcome to JV Swimming! Plan on meeting 7th period in the Natatorium as we prepare for perfect the four (4) competitive strokes, train for those competitive endeavors, as well as defeating that ol nemesis.... the clock! Dressing out is mandatory, as the only way to get better, is to get in the pool! Lets get wet!!! |
