Another significant tradition at Brill is our Birthday Book Club. Many families choose to recognize a student's birthday by participating in this tradition. Ms. Franty has a selection of new shelf-ready books from which a student may select a book to donate to our library collection. That student is the first to check out the new book and decorates a Brill Bronco book plate which will then be glued in the front of the book. There is also a bulletin board in the library which displays the names of the students who have joined the Birthday Book Club each year.
If you wish to participate, please send a check for $16.00, payable to Brill Elementary, to Ms. Franty about one week before your child's birthday; every effort is made to present the book to the student on or near his birthday. Students with May through August birthdays my choose to participate at any time. Celebrating half-birthdays is fun for our young readers!
