Hi my name is Shelly David and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Benignus 2nd grade team. I went to Klein ISD schools from Benfer, Strack, and finishing at the Klein High. I have always had a passion to be a teacher in Klein ISD. I graduated from Sam Houston State University in December of 2007, making me a true BEARKAT for life, and was extremely involved the education department. I did my student teaching at Benignus and blessed to have the opportunity to continue teaching here full time. I have lived in the community my whole life along with my husband, who I met at Strack in 7th grade! We known each over 10 years before we got married in January 2008 and are still best friends! We don't have children, but looking forward to having our kids in Klein ISD one day! I have two kitties, Betty and Jack, that make me laugh every day! I love to shop and read on my free time! I am looking forward to another wonderful year of meeting and getting to know everyone!

Hi! My name is Lauren Dobbie, and I am looking forward to teaching second grade at Benignus this year after teaching third grade for three years! I will be teaching self-contained, which means I will teach all subjects. Spring is home to me; I grew up in Klein ISD schools, then went on to attend Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies! I also just completed my Master's Degree from Sam Houston State University. Our second grade team is awesome, and I feel so fortunate to join them! I am certain we will have a very fun and productive year, and I cannot wait to meet all of you!

I have been married for seven years to my husband, Drew and we have two little boys, Nicholas and Noah. During my spare time I enjoy reading, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends.
Debra Guckenberg
dguckenberg@kleinisd.net

My name is Debbie Guckenberg. To tell you a little bit about myself, I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in education. My first job landed me in Houston, where I taught pre-kindergarten for 3 years in a private school.

Growing up a North Dakota girl, my greatest adjustment was the hot, humid summers! Once I became acclimated to the climate, I decided to stay in Houston and apply for a teaching job in Klein ISD, where I have taught in both first and second grade for the past 19 years. I am looking forward to a happy, productive year with you and your children.

Welcome to 2nd grade! I feel so blessed to be starting my fourth year here at Benignus, with such an awesome staff and wonderful students. I little about me...I moved to Spring in 8th grade, attended Hildebrant and then graduated from Klein Oak High School. I attended Stephen F. Austin University earning a degree in Elementary Education. I was hired in Spring ISD and taught for 5 years before I was fortunate enough to stay home when I had my two sons, Wyatt and Luke. After eight years of being a stay at home mom, I returned to teaching here at Benignus. With great enthusiasm, I am looking forward to teaching- and learning- with your children!
