Homework
Homework will be given nightly. It is over concepts we have already gone over. If there is a problem just send a note.
Tests
Testing is 60% of the grade. I generally have a spelling test weekly and an assessment in
science and social studies at the end of our unit. I give the children time to study in class and it is concepts that we have repeatedly gone over before I test them. However, they are allowed to take home their textbook to study.

A Guided Reading rubric is given twice during the 9 weeks. This lets the parents know if their child is progressing in reading and where they are at as far as fluency, comprehension, and prosody (expression in reading).
Spelling lists
These are all the spelling lists up to the end of the year.
