Welcome to our class! This is my ninth year teaching, and my third year at Wunderlich. I look forward to sharing my love of reading and writing with your child.

This integrated reading/language arts course includes study in the following essential skills: 1)concepts and skills, focusing on using the composing process to write for a variety of audiences and purposes, 2)effective use of oral and written language specific to audience, 3) literature concepts and skills focusing on literary works, 4) reading concepts and basic comprehension skills, focusing on group discussion, interaction and speaking and attending presentations.

Students will receive a seperate technology grade this year. we will be using various forms of technology during the school year.

Read 180 is an intensive reading intervention program designed to suuport struggling students with highly adaptive, individualized instructional software, high interest fiction and nonfiction literature, and small group inastruction in reading and writing skills.l

Lanuage! is a comprehensive literary curriculum providing systematic instruction for struggling readers by building phoneme awareness, word recognition and spelling, vocabulary and etomology, grammar and usage, and reading and writing skills.
