Our children are our future!
Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences
Currently, I am teaching Child Development, Interpersonal Studies and Parenting Education I and II.
About Me
While this is my fourth year teaching, I have ample experience in Child Development and Personal and Family Development. First and foremost, I am a mother. I also have eighteen years of direct and indirect work experience with children. My career background consists of non-profit work experience with children and ten years of grant writing experience. For my undergraduate degree, I attended Arizona State University. There, I obtain a degree in Interdisplinary Studies with emphasis in Family Studies and African American Studies. In 2010, I completed my master’s degree program from Texas Southern University in Human Services and Consumer Sciences. I am also a college professor teaching Child Development and Family Studies at Texas Southern University.
