Prior to opening Alternative Classes in January 1994, Mr. Kaufman served KISD for 19 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Mr. Kaufman began college at Rice University and played basketball at both Rice and Ball State. He earned an undergraduate degree from Ball State and an advanced degree from Prairie View A&M University. |

Kevin Wood, Associate Principal |

Kevin Wood has been with Klein ISD since 1978 as a teacher, coach, assistant athletic director and associate principal. Kevin Wood joined the Alternative Classes administrative staff with the start of the academic year 2002-2003. Mr. Wood earned his certification from Angelo State University and West Texas A&M. |

Colleth Punch, Counselor |

Colleth Punch has been with Klein ISD as a counselor since 2000. She worked a shared day at both Klein High School and Alternative Classes from 2000-2005. In August 2005, she began a full-time schedule at Alternative Classes and continues in this educational setting full-time. Mrs. Punch previously worked in Aldine Independent School District. |

Marcy Wilson, Counselor |

Marcy Wilson transferred within the Klein school district from Klein Intermediate to open the 2008-2009 school year as a counselor at Alternative Classes. 2009-2010 is Mrs. Wilson's ninth year in education and her seventh year in Klein ISD. She began her Klein ISD career at Klein Intermediate in 2003 as a teacher and transferred from Klein Intermediate as a teacher and English department chairman. She has enthusiastically joined the staff at Alternative Classes as a counselor.
Mrs. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology, Master of Education in special education, and Master of Art in counseling from Prairie View A&M University. (Go Panthers!) |

Angie Ricker Retires |

Angie Ricker has been with Klein ISD as a special education teacher, a counselor and a registrar since 1982. She joined Mr. Kaufman's staff of 10 in January 1994 to open Alternative Classes. Angie Ricker was named the KISD Professional Employee of the Year in 2005 and again in 2008. She is appreciated for her commitment to the district, students and Alternative Classes goals. Mrs. Ricker earned her advanced degree from Sam Houston State University. She retired in June 2008. |
