The Strack Orchestra Holiday Concert will be held in the Strack Gymnasium at 6:45 PM on Wednesday, December 5.
Dress for the occasion will be dress uniforms for Varsity and Non-Varsity students and dressy, seasonal clothes (no tennis shoes, flip-flops, shorts, jeans, t-shirts, or sweatshirts/hoodies) for 6th graders.
Sixth grade students should be dressed, unpacked, and in their places ready to play at 6:30. Varsity and Non-Varsity students should be dressed, but with their instruments still packed, seated in their designated areas of the bleechers.
We are aware that many events are scheduled for this same evening and our students have been advised that should they need to leave to go to another event, they may do so immediately after they have finished playing their portion of the program. They should meet their parents in the gym foyer. No instruments or personal belongings should be left in the gym following the concert. Please take everything home or return it to the orchestra room. |
Sixth grade orchestra students have two mandatory rehearsals scheduled prior to the Holiday Concert. These are our only chances to rehearse together as students normally have class only with others students who play like instruments.
Our first rehearsal is on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 4-5 PM in the Strack Orchestra Room. Students must be picked up in the rear of the building immediately following the rehearsal.
Our other rehearsal will be on Monday, Dec. 3, also from 4-5 PM.
