Hello, welcome to our 7th grade Spanish class! My name is Ms. Croft and I have always had a deep appreciation and love for different cultures. I especially love the Spanish Language and culture. I travel to Latin America often in order to refresh, renew and stay in touch with my abilities. I love to cook,read, watching Spanish films and collecting Latin American folk art. My other passion is teaching, which I have been doing for 4 years. I feel very fortunate that I have a career in which I have been able to combine both my passions!

The goals that I have for my students are to present the language within the context of the Spanish-speaking world and its culture and to have the students realize that the Hispanic culture in the United States, and particularly in Texas, is a reality which affects their lives in many ways. The students will also gain an appreciation of the similarities and differences between their culture and those of Hispanic countries. Finally, my goal is to help students attain an acceptable degree of proficiency in the four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
