A strong sense of community pride has been a significant factor in the growth and development of the Klein ISD. Parents and other community members work as partners with the schools. Parents participate in an extensive volunteer program in each school, as well as in parent-teacher organizations. Individual parent-teacher conferences can be scheduled for all elementary parents and conference appointments are encouraged for secondary parents. Progress reports are issued every three weeks, and parental involvement is requested to improve student performance and development. When a student is absent, parents are contacted the same day unless they have notified the school about the absence. |
