Wunderlich Standardized Dress Code

The ADMINISTRATION reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the appropriateness of clothing and/or accessories.

Revised Dress Code in effect immediately

Boys’ Shirts
Shirts must have a collar, polo-style maroon, navy, or white uniform-style shirts.
Shirts must fit. Shirts that are too large (ones which pass the buttocks when un-tucked) are unacceptable. Shirts must be tucked in. No logos, patterns, or textures. One solid, white, navy, or maroon undershirt (no print or logos) will be permitted, and must be tucked into the trousers.

Boys’ Trousers, shorts, and jeans
Trousers, shorts, and jeans (spirit day only) must fit and be worn NO LOWER THAN the waist (1-1½ inches below the navel). No sagging will be tolerated. Students who wear inappropriate apparel will be required to change into either an acceptable pair of his own pants or will have his pants cinched with a zip tie until the end of the school day.
Cargo pants and shorts will be permitted following the same rule as trousers (no sagging/no large sizes).
All bottoms must have a solid hem. No frays (strings) or holes will be permitted on any part of the pants.
All bottoms must be khaki or navy.

Girls’ Shirts
Shirts must have a collar, polo-style three-button maroon, navy, or white uniform-style shirts with no pockets.
Shirts must be long enough to stay tucked into the trousers. Short shirts will not be permitted. No logos, patterns, or textures.
Fitted shirts are not considered standardized dress and are not permitted. Shirts must have buttons--not snaps, zippers, or other closures. Cropped sleeves are not considered standardized dress. One solid, white, navy, or maroon undershirt (no print or logos) will be permitted, and must be tucked into the trousers.

Girls’ Trousers, shorts, skorts, Capri pants, and jeans
Trousers, shorts, skorts, Capri pants, and jeans (spirit day only) must not be form-fitted and must be worn NO LOWER THAN the waist (at the navel). Low-rise apparel is not permitted. Students who wear inappropriate apparel will be required to change into an acceptable pair of her own pants. Apparel should be cotton or cotton blends. Stretch material, flannel, or other apparel with textures, prints, or patterns are not considered standardized dress. No overalls.
Shorts, skirts, and skorts that are too short will NOT be allowed. All bottoms must have a solid hem. No frays (strings) will be permitted on any part of the pants. All bottoms must be khaki or navy.

Belts
Belts must be worn at all times through all loops on the trousers/shorts/jeans.
Belts must be solid brown, white, navy or black with a modest buckle. (No large or flamboyant buckles are permitted.)
No ribbons, scarves, or string/rope of any sort may be used as a belt.

Sweatshirts/Jackets
Sweatshirts must be solid maroon, white or navy with NO logos on it or a Wunderlich maroon or navy sweatshirt with THE Wunderlich logo These may be worn on the body as an over shirt ONLY. Sweatshirts may not be substituted for a standardized-dress shirt. No hooded sweatshirts or jackets of any type are allowed. Students may wear jackets to campus but they must place them in their lockers during school hours.
Sweatshirts may not be worn around the waist at any time.

Footwear
No flip flop-type sandals are permitted. Shoes must have a back or a back strap. Shoe laces must match.

Chains
Necklaces (chains) may be worn as long as they do not pass the plane of the armpit.
Longer chains must stay inside the shirt.

Spirit Day Attire
On Fridays, students may earn the privilege to wear a Wunderlich spirit shirt or polo shirt with appropriate blue jeans with no designs. Physical Education and athletic uniform shirts do not qualify as spirit shirts and should only be worn while in P.E. or Athletics Class. Students who are tardy or have office referrals lose Spirit Day privileges.

Students who participate in school sponsored clubs or organizations may wear club/organization non-hooded sweatshirts or jackets with appropriate attire on any day that the club/organization is performing or meeting.
