A little about Ms. Teague: I am a grauduate of Sam Houston State University. My bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education with a specialization in Life/Earth Science. My Master's degree is in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Middle School Mathematics.  During my 20 years of teaching, I have taught both Math and Science in grades 5 through 8. This will be my 11th year here at Doerre and I am anticipating an awesome year!

Power math assignments are completed during class. Unless a student gets behind due to absences or not doing their work on time.

10% homework
30% daily: classwork, quizzes, labs, activities
60% major: exams, labs/projects


Power Math:

50% Daily / Classwork
50% Exams

7th Grade Math:

pencil and binder/spiral from regular math class.

Students who to come to class without their supplies will be asked to return to their lockers to get them. If they are gone when the tardy bell rings, they will be counted as tardy. Too many tardies will result in detentions. Please bring your supplies to class!

Doerre Campus Grading Guidelines

Tutoring if indicated by teacher
  Self Assessment sheet that indicates areas of strength and weakness
  Practice work in area of need

 

Students are required to re-take any test that falls below an 80.  The re-take must happen within the one-week timeframe outlined above.  Failure to abide by the imposed timeline will result in the original test score remaining in the gradebbook.
Requirements students must meet prior to retaking a test can include the following:
received (unless there is extenuating circumstances brought forth by teacher, student or guardian). Students are required to re-take tests when they score less than an 80.  The re-take score will be averaged with the original test score.  The highest averaged score will be no higher than an 80.
