Kindergarten Music!

Kindergartners learn many musical concepts.

We learn the difference between our different voice types and aim to use our singing voices.

We learn the concepts of fast and slow, keeping a steady beat while listening or singing, and the difference between high and low sounds.

Each nine weeks, we focus on a few musical concepts while singing a song we call our "Memory Song." Students are assessed on how well they master the Memory Song concepts. To see the current Memory Song for Kindergarten, go to Memory Songs.

Kindergarten students will learn about classical music through a listening program called Music Memory. More information about this fantastic program can be found on the Classwork/Homework/Tests page of this website.

Besides having a great time in Music Class, Kindergartners will learn so much that they will be well prepared for 1st grade Music.
