Students really enjoy the sixteen listening pieces we study in music class each school year. Just think - if a student starts Theiss in Kindergarten, by the time they leave us in 5th grade, they will have studied 96 pieces of classical music!

Johann Sebastian Bach (31 March  21 March] 1685 – 28 July 1750) was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. Bach's abilities as an organist were highly respected during his lifetime, although he was not widely recognised as a great composer until a revival of interest in and performances of his music in the first half of the 19th century. He is now generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time.

Ludwig van Beethoven (17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827) was a German composer. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music, he remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. His best-known compositions include 9 symphonies, 5 piano concertos, 1 violin concerto, 32 piano sonatas, 16 string quartets, his great Mass the Missa solemnis and an opera, Fidelio.
