Professional Communications

Professional Communications is a one-semester, high school credit class (one-half credit) that blends written, oral, and graphic communication in a career-based environment. Careers in the global economy require individuals possess a strong, solid academic foundation and proficiency in professional oral and written communication.

Within this context, students will be expected to develop and expand the ability to write, read, edit, speak, listen, apply software applications, manipulate computer graphics, and conduct Internet research.

Communication Applications

Communication Applications is a one-semester, high school credit class (one-half credit) in which students will learn about the communication process; interpersonal communication skills; group communication; and making and evaluating formal and informal presentations.

The goal of path is to prepare students for post-secondary school college/career options and  opportunities.

Through active participation in classroom activities, students will demonstrate skills necessary for college/career success including collaboration, critical-thinking, problem-solving, creative expression, effective written and oral communication, and time-management.
