This is my 14th year of teaching. I was a fourth grade teacher at Mittelstadt for 11 years. This will be my 3rd year to teach third grade, and I am really looking forward to it! I have many ties to Mittelstadt, but the most special tie is that Mrs. Levy was MY fourth grade teacher.
I grew up in the Klein area. I went to Brill, Kleb and Klein High School. I would have even gone to Mittelstadt if it was built when I was in elementary school.
I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Elementary Education and Child Development. I loved it in Tennessee, but I am glad to be back home in Texas!
I am married to Mr. Baird, who used to be a fourth grade teacher right here at Mittelstadt. He is now the District Historian and works everyday at Wunderlich Farm. You will see him when you go on your field trip next year. We had a Scottish wedding and even went to Scotland on our honeymoon. Mr. Baird and I have three boys, Nolan, who is in third grade this year, Braden, who is in seventh grade at Kleb, and Logan, who is a sophomore at Klein High School. We stay very very busy! We love playing video games, football, board games, and swimming at our house!
We have quite a few pets. There are four dogs that live with us. Stirling is a chiweenie....also known as a dachshund/chihuahua mix, Duncan is a German Shephard, Dixie is an Australian Shephard mix, and Max is a Schnoodle....also known as a schnauzer/poodle mix.
In my free time, I love to read, shop, scrapbook, and spend time with my family! I also love to travel, go to sporting events, and go to plays/musicals. I am very active in my church, Faithbridge, and my faith in God is very important to me.
I can't wait to get to know all about you!

Keep In Touch
The best way to contact me is via email. I check my email at home and at school several times a day. You can reach me at school at firstname.lastname@example.org and you can reach me at home at email@example.com. I do have a phone at school. The number 832-484-6765. However, I do not check it during the day so that it does not disrupt our classtime. I try to remember to check it every afternoon, but sometimes I forget! If you ever have a question about anything, please contact me and we can either discuss via emai, or we can set up a phone conference or a meeting up at school. You are welcome to visit our classroom at anytime throughout the year.
