What a great year in 4th grade we had!  I can't believe it is over.  I hope everyone has a great summer.  I am so excited to think what awaits you in 5th grade.  Don't forget to come back and visit me!
Let's keep the learning going all Summer long! Here are some helpful ideas to maintain academic skills.
-Read everyday! Visit the public library so your child can pick out new, exciting books to read. The Barbara Bush library is open again and is kicking off their Summer Reading Program on June 1st!
-Help your child build responsibility by assigning them jobs around the home.
-Find real world math problems for you child to solve (measuring for a recipe, adding enough silverware to the table for dinner, identifying coins to pay at a store, creating a budget for grocery shopping.)
-Keep a family journal to write sentences or stories about your summer activities.

Please see the Websites page for some great educational websites to visit this summer.
