About the Teacher

My name is Erica Villarreal. This is my 13th year of teaching! Before coming to Klein, I taught kindergarten for 10 years in Aldine ISD. I graduated from Texas A&M University, and hold teaching certificates for grades EC-4, 4-8 and ESL. I also earned my Master's degree in School Counseling from Sam Houston State University and have my school counseling certification as well. I was born in San Antonio, but moved to Houston 27 years ago! I grew up in Spring, attending schools in Spring ISD. Raised by an educator and former educator, I knew that I would work with children in our schools one day as well!

I am a wife and mother. My husband and I met while we both worked at Gap in the Houston Galleria (I was working part-time while attending law school). He is currently a manager at the Champions store. We have 2 beautiful daughters. Adrienne is 7 and attends 2nd grade at Kuehnle. Natalie is 18 months and attends "school" at a church near our home. We also have a host of animal "babies" at our house including our Welsh Corgi, Liberty, our cats, Gabriel, and Cosette, and our turtle, Link. Plus we feed a squirrel on our front porch. She's been visiting us for YEARS!! And we have about 30 Koi and goldfish in our backyard pond!

I enjoy spending time with my family, love to watch sports (live and on t.v.) and enjoy music of all genres. I also enjoy getting out of town to visit family in San Antonio, Kerrville, and Edinburg (Rio Grande Valley).
