Karen Mitchell-Librarian

I grew up in Southeast Texas and attended Texas A&M University where I graduated with a B.S. degree in Psychology and a minor in English. Afterwards, I graduated from Lamar University with a Masters of Education in Counseling and a technology endorsement. More recently, I received my library certification from Sam Houston.

I've taught 7th and 8th grade Language Arts Pre-AP, English I, English II, English III, and English III-Honors. In addition, I am certified to teach psychology, information processing technologies, and elementary education.

This is my eleventh year as a Klein librarian, my sixth year at Ehrhardt. I enjoy sharing my love for reading, learning, and technology with students, teachers, and parents.

If there is anything I can do to assist you or your child, please let me know!

I'm excited to be assisting in the library this year. The Ehrhardt library feels like home since I've been volunteering here since 2005. I've always loved reading and earned my Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in English. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for good books this year with all the Ehrhardt students!
