About the Counselor
Happy Tenth Anniversary Frank Elementary!  Ten years of making a difference!

My name is Joy Quandahl.  I am beginning my 34 in education and this is my 23nd year as an Elementary School Counselor. I have 8 years of classroom teaching experience. I am proud to say that in 1991 when Klein ISD began their Elementary Guidance and Counseling Program, I became one of the original three elementary school counselors. I have worked at three other schools in Klein, before coming to Frank. I earned a Master's Degree in Counseling in 1989 from Sam Houston State University.   Then, in 2001, I was awarded a PhD in Educational Pyschology from the University of Houston. My goal is to help every child be successful and to encourage them to set goals for their future.  My days are spent meeting with students, teachers, administrators and parents.

How are students referred to me?
* Student self-referral
* Teacher request
* Parent request
*Administrator request

I look forward to a great year ahead.
Please do not hesitate to call if I can be of assistance to you.
