Welcome to the Klein Collins Air Force Junior ROTC page. This is the home of the KCHS Flying Tigers and their nationally acclaimed armed and unarmed drill teams. Our program is an exciting and challenging four-year experience where you will learn the customes, courtesies, and discipline expected of our cadets. Our academic classes study the history of aviation, the mechanics of orbital space flight, the science of flight, geography, survival, FAA ground school material, global studies, and we even provide limited flying experience for the cadets enrolled in the ground school.
Our drill, orientation, and rocket teams compete among schools from all over the state, and we continue to anticipate more successful drill competitions at the national level in the spring.
The summers are also busy times for us if you're interested in attending any of the five one-week summer leadership camps hosted at college campuses in Kerville and Brownwood, TX.
Your progress within the corps will reflect the level of your effort and commitment. Progress will be rewarded with promotions and positions of leadership. Once you've gotten a taste of success in JROTC, you'll find yourself highly competative for one of many scholarships available to our cadets.
Our students all agree, there is plenty of work ahead of you in JROTC, but the rewards, personal satisfaction, and fun are clearly worth the effort. All this is highlighted by the lasting friendships produced by the team environment of our program.
Come join us--Go Air Force!
