                                      WELCOME TO BRILL ELEMENTARY!!
                          We hope your child has a smooth transition into Brill!


Change of Clothes:
    
Any student may not make it to the bathroom in time, spill lunch, 
    have a bloody nose or fall into water or mud.

Please place a change of clothes in a plastic bag with your child's name on it and place it in their backpack.

**Any clothes that are borrowed from the clinic need to be washed and dried and returned to the clinic. Always check your child's backpack daily** Thank you!

Medication:
** WE DO NOT KEEP ANY MEDICINES ON HAND IN THE CLINIC FOR STUDENTS - MEDICINES HAVE TO BE BROUGHT TO THE CLINIC BY PARENTS.

* Klein personnel are not permitted to give medication of any kind, unless the parent signs the
Klein Medication Authorization Form and brings the medication & form to the clinic.

* All medications must be brought to the clinic by the parent/guardian or an other adult.

* Prescription medication must be in the original container with a prescription label on it.

* Non prescription medication needed for longer than two weeks must have a written request from a physician.

* No vitamins, health food or herbal preparations will be given by any school employee.

*  Children are not allowed to carry any type of medication with them.  This is for the safety of all of our students.

Illnesses:
* A student will be sent home if he/she has a fever of 100.0 degrees or higher, is vomiting or has diarrhea. Your child may return to school once he/she has been fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.

* Please keep your child home if they have fever, vomiting, diarrhea or any contagious disease.  Please inform the nurse of such occurrences.

* Notify (email/call) attendance every day that your child is absent from school. A doctor's note will excuse the absence.

Current contact information is of upmost importance to reach you in case of an emergency during school hours. Please inform the registrar or nurse of any change to contact information.
